p and i had breakfast while jj slept. when she did get up, we went to the swimming pool across the street. it’s a facility with a few indoor pools and slide and jacuzzi etc, and an outdoor pool which you swim to from the indoor pool. so you never have to be out of the pool in the cold. it was heated, but it was still a little chilly. had a good lunch and headed home. i ended up going to the emergency room for one of those medical things that wouldn’t be a big deal if it was a weekday and you could call your dr. i had gone into a pharmacy and asked about this condition and they told me to go to the emergency room. i was lucky because it was a quiet night and was treated relatively quickly. lucky also, that we are now in the health system and apparently would not have to pay too much for this. even more luck that we had the rental car and were able to drive around paris to find one of the only pharmacies open late to get my prescription. i was fine and we got home around midnite .
