i signed up for french lessons at alliance francais. i decided to try the “oral workshop” since i really need help with speaking more fluently. it was not very good. there were about 7 people in the class and we hardly did any talking. the teacher did most of the talking. the subject was the printed media – newspapers, magazines, and the vocabulary associated with them. it was really boring. it felt so much like old fashioned school and it really was not anything that i was interested in or that would help me. oh well. i signed up for 2 weeks so i will go to the second class on friday and see if it gets better. if not, i will try to change into the “writing” workshop. i need help in that too.
