school meeting

every few months, there is a school meeting, in which the administration gives news and updates to the parents. today, the principal of the school (who i had never seen before) came and talked about the murder. (see jan 4/5) she said that the student had left the school last year, but was extremely well liked. she said that this event is particularly upsetting because he was one of those very special people who had a big personality and had lots of friends in the school. it was very hard for all the students to hear about this news and she had brought in a psychiatrist to help talk to them about it. meanwhile, of course, it was terrible for the math teacher who was part of the family. she had taken some time off and was back now. many of the parents didn’t know anything about this story.
